Walks Around Wincle in the Peak District
We’re in the heart of great walking country in the Peak District National Park and if you’re into walking there’s nowhere better.
Here are a few that you can do straight from Otter’s Retreat.
Hanging stone, Wincle
After reaching Hanging Stone, you’ll have the most amazing views along the roaches, the Swythamley Hall estate and views back towards Otter’s Retreat.

Dane bridge and Whitelee
Starting at the Dane Bridge, this is a quick 2 mile walk to build up a thirst to sample some Wincle Beer at the end of your walk.

The Roaches and Rock Hall
Walk along the Roaches and back from Otter’s Retreat, this is about 10-12 miles but worth it for the magnificent views.
