Otters Pool, marked on older maps, is a tranquil bend on the River Dane. It forms part of our boundary and is below our holiday cottage and it is from this that we named the cottage Otters Retreat.

Otters have been seen there in living memory and it would be very nice if they were to return. However Danebridge Fisheries which is just a few hundred yards downstream may not be too keen!
